Efficient, safe, and environmentally-friendly extraction is essential in the oil and gas industry. Of course, it involves dealing with combustible gases, liquids, and vapors, which go hand in hand with increased fire risk. This sets exacting standards for electrical safety, not only with respect to the production process. Pumps, conveyor belts, and all drives are safely monitored by either Bender RCMS residual current monitoring systems or ISOMETER®s. Ground-fault location devices are the right choice to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
Bender offers insulation monitoring devices to ensure electrical safety for man and machine in an efficient and long-term way. These devices are used anywhere a safe power supply is found as an essential requirement to prevent system failures. Bender systems enable fast localization and elimination of insulation faults, even during operation with disconnection of the system not required. In addition, Bender can provide residual current monitoring to increase system availability and reduce costs, with continuous monitoring of circuits for fault, residual, operating, and stray currents.
In the separation facilities, which separate the raw material extracted into oil and gas, pumps with variable pressures, which are controlled by frequency converters, are often used. Although these frequency converters are energy-saving to use, they also produce DC currents and harmonic vibrations, which cannot be detected by normal fault current monitoring devices. The Bender systems offer reliable monitoring of these systems.
Bender solutions enable reporting of critical operating states to avoid unwanted events such as interruptions to operation, costly damage to infrastructure, and physical injuries. Additionally, its state-of-the-art technology provides reliability and the latest measurement methods and design. Continuous monitoring of electrical installations also assists with preventative maintenance ensuring the highest possible system availability.
